Girlfriend Collective: Try On & Review
If you follow any fitness influencers on Instagram, I’m sure you’ve heard of the brand, Girlfriend Collective. I have to admit, I was first drawn in by their colorful matching sets. I’m all for a good workout legging and T shirt but there is something special about a matching set. It feels very intentional, serious and yet playful at the same time. I remember seeing my friend, Brit Retting’s closet once on her insta stories and saw all the colorful matching sets hanging in her closet. She’s a gym owner and entrepreneur and her “work wardrobe” gave me serious style cravings.
Here’s why I decided to try Girlfriend Collective. The price point isn’t terrible. It’s cheaper than my last set I investigated and they do some nice discount promos here and there. Hello 20% off (code now expired but follow them on the ‘gram for news and latest codes. The second thing that drew me in is the claim to be eco friendly activewear. Leggings made from recycled water bottles?! Lastly, I love their advertising. They are size inclusive and showcase customers and models of varying sizes. It’s SO helpful to see someone in your size rocking an outfit that feels a little out of your comfort zone.
I tested this outfit out at one of my regular CrossFit classes. While I loved the leggings, the bra was not supportive enough for cardio elements of the WOD. The entire outfit feels more suited for yoga or pilates and I can see myself enjoying it for that. I’m definitely obsessed with the cut of the bra. I love the way it highlights my waist and shoulders. I also adore the fit of the leggings. I would wear the leggings for any workout. They hold everything in while still holding true to the soft, cozy, nothing there claim and they didn’t roll or fall down! I’m excited to try a more supportive sports bra option from Girlfriend Collective. Also I feel like a mega babe in this set so insert peach and heart eye emoji here! :)
