If you had told me three years ago that I'd always keep a pair of running shoes in the trunk of my car so I could seize a spare half hour for a run - I never would have believed you. I believe in always being prepared and always having the right shoe for the right occasion. I'll do another post on my different workout sneakers and the function of each, but for now let's focus on accessories!
My essentials for running include:
Great Bluetooth headphones: I was fortunate to receive the Bose wireless headphones two Christmases ago and I use them often. The battery lasts pretty well and I charge about once a week depending on usage. I have the SoundSport Wireless Headphones in Blue and love them!
Comfortable Running Belt: I keep one of these in my purse and one in my trunk so I'm always prepared. I hate carrying my keys or phone while running. It's distracting and I tend to clench my fists, which is distracting. I like both of my running belts. They are slim and low profile so almost unnoticeable - no bouncing fanny packs here!
Quality Running Socks: My favorite are the Feetures brand. They are super soft and well fitted and padded without being bulky. I used to get blisters while running but haven't had a blister since switching to high quality socks. I get mine from Run On! Preston & Forest in Dallas but you can also find them online!
A hat or visor: Nike and Puma have some great breathable ones that will absorb sweat. A hat will not only protect you from the sun or rain but it will also protect your lash extensions from sweat dripping down your face! Priorities!
